She approached me to tell me about what interested her in photography: the silence of images. Then, our dialogue naturally continued around the meaning that we each gave them respectively, not for what they say about reality in an anecdotal way but for the invisible part they allow us to see.

Diane Arbus's sentence, which we both appreciated equally, sealed a kind of pact between us: "A photograph is a secret about a secret".
